A team from the Accounting Department at King Talal School of Business Technology at Princess Sumaya University for Technology clinched first place among Jordanian universities in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Competition for the 2024-2025 academic year. The competition was organized by the CFA Institute – Jordan Branch, with several university teams participating.
The team qualified to represent Jordan in the regional stage for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and will also compete in the Arab finals in Dubai next May. This achievement strengthens the university’s regional and international standing in financial analysis and investment.
The winning team comprised Sadeen Khattab, Abdullah Zoubi, Omar Abu Qayas, Sadeen Marei, and Taleen Abdul Hadi, under the supervision of Prof. Mudar Abdul Latif.
University President Prof. Wejdan Abu Elhaija congratulated the team and their academic supervisor, emphasizing that this victory reflects the students’ competence and skills in financial analysis and investment. She highlighted the importance of international competitions in preparing students according to global standards.
Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology, Dr. George Sammour, praised the efforts of students and faculty, their commitment to staying updated on business sector developments, and their integration of technology and practical training into academics. He emphasized that this approach fosters innovative ideas in business and technology.
